CONCEPT OF SUCCESS

GOOD GOD

A story is told of a philosophy professor who stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him. When the class began, world less he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, about 2 inches in diameter.

He then asked the student if the jar was full. They agreed it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them in to the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. Then he asked the student again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar of course, the sand filled up the remaining open areas of the jar. He then asked once more if the jar was full. The student responded with unanimous, ‘’yes” “Now”, said the professor, I want you to recognize that this jar represent s your life. The rocks are the important things, your family, your partner, your health and your children- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter. Like a job, your house or your car. The sand is everything else, the small stuff. “If you put the sand into the jar first”, he continued”, there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life. If you stand all your time and energy on small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you as a student. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Pray with God, study tirelessly with book have power of focus, power of desires, power of transition and above everything take care of the rocks first- the things that really matter. Set your priorities the rest is just sand” Even God, assures us that we all born to be winners, you have greatness within you as student. You are born to be a student and an excellent one. Ecclesiastes 9:11 (NIV Version) “I have seen something else under the sun. The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food comes to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned, but time chance happen to them all.” Sometimes life catches you as student on the blindside and it may feel as if you are caught under aware it may be due to a devastating loss…E or D in mathematics or a relationship that ended. You may be going through you own personal health crisis, or caring for someone who is seriously ill, elderly or trail. At times, you may feel overwhelmed, stressed out, frustrated. You may even think about giving up in your studies and school life.
