When Mpatiany was born, mysterious things happened in the community it rained and flooded, heavily on that day after long drought season. Which signal the birth of the saviour and the whole community celebrated.
As child he did a lot of miraculous things. His father Supeet and the entire community was proud of him, he was super genius and a dreamer he helped his father in miracles work during the day and he was quick learner. He also sat in the counsel of elders and humbly shared his different prospectives of advice to different issues as a small boy. And the community led by his father were very hopeful of him being a great leader in his reign. There was a rumour going around that he was When the son of Supeet was born which is approximated around 1792. As always the normal ritual for all sons of Maasai was performed. The midwife when ahead and cut the umbilical cord and announced “Mbuga oltau lino Maimbunga olalai- Hold on your heart as I hold my heart”,and the son was given to the mother to breastfeed him for the 8rst time. The mother was immediately given pure honey to start enjoying the fruits of his womb after the pain labor. Afresh blood from unblemished heifer was immediately drawn and given to her to accompany the honey. The jovial archaic music and preparation of the festival was signal by horn in men, and women ululated three times to signal that he was a boy. Young warriors started preparing the best of the best fattest animals in the heard to welcome the new gift from the spirits. People started to enjoying themselves with food and drinks the joyous lovely curiosity of happiness would 8ll the air of the entire community anew supreme divine king was born to be their servant, what a big blessing from Enkai (Gods).And Supeet and his counsel of elders would drink ceremoniously as they wait for the evening to name the boy. And they named him Mpatiany which means the Greatest /genius/miraculous/divine/ from the spirits. And the volume of the music in the community went up to celebrate their future supreme divine servant Mpatiany a gift from the spirits of enkai (God).
As he started growing one of the peculiar thing about the boy Mpatiany was his eyes, when he looked at you it was as if he would pierced your soul, and people would look away. But he was an ever smiling boy in better modern terms a smiling machine. He was a boy full of empathy and super playful as well an innocence that every child carries. He was a dreamer at night he would penetrate the spirits world and he would start talking (sleep-talking).His peculiarity and gift abilities made his father Supeet bring him closer for monitoring and care. The father and the whole community blessed him and he was told that he is very special, his abilities are central to the to the health of the community, he will cure, he will prophecy, he will guide the society in fundamental decisions, he will help the society discover the unknown and mysteries of the living world. The boy with honour and humility received the prayer, wish and the dream of the entire community and his father Supeet. As we say in Maasai (Yolo eton etu Eishu ngerr ngulak- Just before the sheep 8nished taking pee) the boy with humility and honour under guidance of his father started prophesying and the following are his greatest prophecy that came to ful8lment.
I)Incoming of white people with closed shoes through water
He prophetised vividly the incoming of explorers, missionaries and colonizers through the Indian oceans. This was a vision which his fathers Supeet and those before him didn’t have a clear vision as Mpatianys’ dream.reborn of the beginner of prophets (Lemuya).
